It's September 6, I'm sitting here wearing an over sized hoodie, enjoying this brisk 61* fall day and contemplating everything that happened this summer. There was definitely tons of memories made, lots of great learning and growing experiences, filled to the brim with laughs, smiles, music, fellowship, birthdays, vacations, sleepovers, cooking, the list could go on and on- but if there is one thing that I can honestly say I am thankful for at the end of summer, it would most definitely be relationships. I can't even begin to describe how much each person I met or spent time with has impacted my life. I'm so blessed with those the Lord has decided to bring into my life and I thank Him daily for you all. I only pray your summer was as fabulous and attainable as mine.

Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of.  You know whatever you do, they'll still be there.

But, summer is over now and It's time to get back into the swing of school...which by all means isn't all bad because when school starts that also means that fall is here (which by the way may be my favorite season) and with fall comes-- choir, babysitting, more birthdays, weddings, the pumpkin festival, warm apple pie straight from the oven, chilly evenings, reformation day, hot cider, campfires, warm comfy clothes, snuggling up in a warm blankets, etc, etc. By now, you can probably tell why I love it so much. :)

Cinnamon rolls are also a lovely thing on a fall morning.

This years school. :)

Sooooo, after your summer- what are you thankful for?? Or better yet, what are YOU looking forward to most in the next four months??? I'd love to hear about your thoughts. :)

Until next time!

Summer of 2011

Remember in my last post how I said things were kinda crazy busy over here??? Well that was no lie....and considering I haven't posted since the last day of May, I think thats proof enough.

One bad thing about camera's like this........

.....Is its a TAD more inconvenient to carry it around EVERYWHERE you go during the summer- especially shopping...so thats where this.....

....comes in. It's more accessible and even though does not have the best quality it captures the moment fairly well. I'm explaining this becauuuuse all the pictures aren't going to be the best...but you'll sorta get an idea of our summer thus far. :D Enjoy.

Nothing better than a spontaneous  trip to get some drinks....
Actually- I think spontaneous trips, like that, are the best. :)

Mel and Kase-- two girls that never cease to encourage me and make me smile.

Sierra and Jess-- two girls that never run out of ways to help me grow in my walk with the Lord and life in general.

<3 <3 <3

BECCA!!! :D

Church soft-ball game!! Wanna know a sad fact??
This is like the only picture we got. :-/ But we were enjoying watching them all play and fellowshipping...so that SORTA makes up for it, right??

Elita, my not-so-little-anymore sister had her 12th birthday on the 15th!!
So in celebration of that she spent the day with these girls and had an absolutely fabulous day.

It was her request to have a carrot cake- so willingly I obliged. It was ALSO her request to add the wolf up top. *shakes head* :)

Just some fun/colorful shots I got right before the storm.....

Mmmm, this picture just screams the 'beautifulness' of country life in the summer. :)

See the wall of rain???

Remember that storm that I afore mentioned?? This would be the tail end of it.... It was so crazy and awesome watching that storm!

 *nods*

Sellllllf portrait. :)

Yeah, now I'm getting kinda random with the photo's but Coca-Cola is a part of my summer. :D

Annnnnd- I shall now end this very random, much over-do post...with two pictures of me with my two crazy, awesome, fun, and talented sisters. =)

*grins*

Continue to have a ssupercalifragilisticexpialidocious summer!

...I mean, look at this, the next five days are high 80's low 90's!!

And with summer, for us, comes all the joys of AC, water fights, swimming in our creek, watermelon, gardening, FRIENDS, birthdays, anniversaries, vacations, etc, etc!

Our water fighting equipment...

NOTHING better on a hot day than to be refreshed by taking a bit of one of these.  *nods*
Our garden that is so far staying pretty well weeded....emphasis on the 'so far'. :P
FRIENDS. <3

Meet Sam and Frodo. *laughs*
People call us "the freak show" not quite sure why. :P lol

*sneaks in a flower pic* ;)

AND- these next four photo's are ones I took on a walk with Josiah the other evening...not the best of quality but I still like the general look of them all. :)

Monday, May 2, 2011

well hello my blogging friends! once again i'm back-- i'm not sure for how long, or how consistent i'll be, especially since the weather is getting nicer (which means more outside work), more graduations to go to, more weddings, possible summer jobs, and of course finishing up this school year but we'll try and see if i can fit in a few blog posts here and there. :)

ok, enough of that; today is MAY 2ND...kinda crazy right? and i'm spending my day.....

reading, meditating, and memorizing this amazing book.

"No matter how long the winter is, spring is sure to follow".....

...and indeed it has. and i'm definitely enjoying spending time out there!

Quote Of The Week-

Learn this lesson: not to trust Christ because you repent, but trust Christ to make you repent; not to come to Christ because you have a broken heart, but to come to Him that He may give you a broken heart; not to come to Him because you are fit to come, but to come to Him because you are unfit to come. Your fitness is your unfitness. Your qualification is your lack of qualification.
